Australasian M&A set to take off in 2009-10

Australian and New Zealand executives are predicting a rise in M&A activity over the next year as companies go looking for underpriced takeover targets and industries face consolidation.

This is one finding from research by global management consulting firm Hay Group, which shows that almost 90 per cent of Australian and New Zealand organisations are predicting a rise in cross border deals in the future, compared with just 43 per cent internationally.
