The top 10 findings on high net wealth individuals (HNWIs) from the World Wealth Report 2009, prepared by Capgemini in collaboration with Merrill Lynch Wealth Management are as follows:

1.    Globally, the number of HNWIs declined 15 per cent to 8.6 million and their combined wealth decreased 19.5 per cent to US$33 trillion – dropping below 2005 levels
